Sport Across Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent
“Working together to create active places and healthy lives through sport and physical activity”
Sport Across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent is a partnership of agencies “working together to champion participation, enjoyment and success through sport, physical education and physical activity”.
We are part of an England wide network of 44 County Sports Partnerships.
Through our partnership approach County Sports Partnerships are uniquely positioned to support the development of sport, PE and active recreation. We aim to help grow participation; sustain current participants and help those with talent excel in sport. Our work supports a wide range of agendas that increased participation in sport and active recreation can have a positive benefit on. Agendas include health & wellbeing, economic prosperity, community development and community safety.
We are funded by national and local partners including Sport England, our Local Authorities and Universities.
Support Offer for National Governing Bodies (NGBs)
SASSOT’s ‘Support Offer for NGBs’ document outlines services and support we can offer to National Governing Bodies of sport and other partners. As the County Sports Partnership for Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, support for NGBs underpins everything we do and the document aims to summarise this to allow individual sports to pick and choose services from the menu on offer. If you’ve ever wanted to find out more about what we do, this document provides an overview of the breadth and depth of the services we offer.
