SASSOT Launch New Logo
April 2018 saw the launch of SASSOT’s new three year strategy in line with Sport England’s ‘Towards An Active Nation’. Our strategy challenges us as an organisation to develop new ways of working, supporting partners to engage new audiences and developing relationships with new agencies. This change in focus has raised discussions as to whether our current brand, in particular our organisational name, is ‘fit for purpose’. At this point in time we have opted to refresh our organisational logo rather than undertake a full rebranding process as we are confident that there is strong brand association locally with SASSOT and the work that we do and we want to retain and build on this.
We have used this opportunity to increase the focus on ‘SASSOT’ rather than Sport Across Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent. The logo provides a decluttered, fresh and concise message about our business. Although sport is still at the heart of our core business, our agenda and reach is far wider and we therefore wanted our new logo to reflect this.
You may already be aware that the national network of 43 County Sports Partnerships are now referred to as Active Partnerships instead. This new name for CSPs has contributed to our decision to include our vision within our logo, emphasising the impact that we are striving to make rather than implying that we focus purely on ‘sport’. We decided to retain a version of the Staffordshire knot as this is unique to our sub-region and indicates SASSOT’s affinity to the area we cover.
SASSOT is therefore pleased to introduce to partners our new refreshed logo. If you would like to stay up to date with the work of SASSOT and our partners sign up to our newsletter or follow us on social media.
