Parkinson’s UK – Free Awareness Training for Activity Leaders and Instructors

On 1st August 2019, Parkinson’s UK are running a free awareness training day for Activity Leaders and Instructors.

Time: 9:30am-1pm

Location: The Westmead Hotel, B48 7AL

If you have little or no knowledge of Parkinson’s – this is for you – a mix of information and practical sessions. On completion you’ll receive a certificate of attendance and a listing on the website.

11.15 Session from Emma Bracher Specialist OT and  Founder of Bigger and Better – Fighting Back Against Parkinson’s

A mix of practical examples and information. The session includes:

  1. Top tips when running activities which include people with Parkinson’s
  2. Common physical issues and types of exercises which best target those issues
  3. Planning an exercise programme for one to one and in groups
