Football Participation Officer (Maternity cover)

  • To support and develop all areas of disability football in accordance with the County FA Business and Disability Workforce Fund (DWF) plans and to support the achievement of all County FA targets.

Keele University

Keele University is recruiting for the following four new positions:

Duty Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of Keele Sports Centre so that we are able to provide safe and customer focused facilities and activities; this will include being responsible for the opening and closing of the centre as well as successfully managing the team of operational staff. The post holder will need to ensure that the centre is clean, safe and adequately staffed to enable customers to have the best possible experience.

Fitness Instructor 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation of the Fitness Suite. To advise customers on the safe use of exercise equipment, recommend safe and effective personal programs and to deliver excellent customer service. In addition, the post holder will be required to act as an assistant to the duty manager and cover as and when required.

Strength and Conditioning Coach

The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of the strength and conditioning program at the university. Duties will include engaging students and clients through the planning, organising, promotion and delivery of a comprehensive program. This will involve ensuring the safe use of exercise equipment and recommending safe and effective personal programs delivering excellent customer service. The successful applicant will work with and engage with the range of activities associated with the School of Health and Rehabilitation (SHAR).

This role is responsible for providing administrative support to the sport centre in order to ensure the smooth running of administrative processes as well as delivering excellent customer service. Duties will include building and monitoring the sports software booking programmes, running regular reports for the sport development manager and other colleagues and actively encouraging membership sales.

Community Coaches

Sporting Communities are recruiting new Community Coaches to work in Newcastle-under-Lyme and the Staffordshire Moorlands, mainly during the evenings. Transport is recommended. Coaches must have First Aid and Safeguarding training, a minimum Level 1 NGB and an appropriate DBS.
