Become a Staffs FA Mum’s Play Football Centre
Staffordshire Football Association’s first launch of 2018 is the Mum’s Play Football programme.
This programme is designed to allow ladies the opportunity to try football for the first time in a comfortable, relaxed and sociable environment. With fantastic results from a number of mum’s sessions previously held around the county, we are committed to providing further opportunities for all “soccer mums” in Staffordshire.
Stafford Soccer Mum’s were a group of mum’s that turned out each week to support their girls in the Staffordshire Girls and Ladies League. Having never kicked a ball before, the ladies decided to get themselves a pair of boots and give it a go. Now the ladies train weekly in a fun environment and are now playing matches against other mums in the county within the Staffordshire Ladies Over 30’s League.
Mum’s/Ladies Veterans football is growing rapidly and we are inviting all partners who are interested in delivering these sessions to apply to become a Mum’s Play Football Centre in Staffordshire for 2018.
Each successful centre will receive £300 as a start-up grant to aid the running and sustainability of the centre. The emphasis of these sessions should be Have Fun- Keep Fit- Make Friends and should target Mums/ Beginners (participants do not have to be Mums BUT MUST be 16 years+) and deliverers will be required to engage with 15 Unique Participants over 8 weekly Sessions. These can be Walking Football/ Soccercise/ Football sessions, and should allow the ladies to enjoy football in a sociable environment that suits them.
Electronic promotional material will be provided by Staffordshire FA for all centre’s to amend and print/distribute as they see appropriate.
If you are interested in running/starting Mums sessions and would like to become a Mum’s Play Football Centre, please complete the attached application form by Monday 29th January and return to email@example.com
