Staffordshire Wolves Visual Impaired team have 2 home fixtures in July at Wolverhampton CC, Sunday 21st against Derbyshire in the Blind Cricket England & Wales (BCEW) Regional League, and a friendly against Nottinghamshire on the following Sunday.
Outdoor training sessions are taking place at Wolverhampton CC in preparation for the League fixtures – new players are always very welcome.
Staffordshire Ability Team have a busy month of fixtures in July, Cheshire away at Barrow CC on Sunday 7th followed by Lancashire away on Sunday 21st plus a T10 competition at Darley Abbey CC, Derbyshire on the 28th
Outdoor training takes place at Newcastle & Hartshill CC on Saturday mornings, 9.30-11.00am on a fortnightly basis, the next session will be Saturday 6th July.
Ability Cricket Groups
Sessions are taking place at Moddershall CC with the guys from Club 101 and Staffordshire Ventures on Thursday afternoons, 1.00-2.30pm and at Brewood CC, Fridays, 10-11.30am with adults from Rockspur every week.
We look forward to an adult disability cricket festival at Rugeley CC on Wednesday 31st July and a sports day at Moddershall CC on Thursday 8th August to round off a great Summer.
Lichfield CC is the venue every other Thursday evening, 4th and 18th July, and The Way, Wolverhampton alternate Sundays, 12-1pm, 14th and 28th both groups run through the Summer.
You would be very welcome to come along and have a go, meet new people and make friends in a safe, fun environment.
6 groups all playing weekly across the county, get in touch and join in! We are waiting for details of an outdoor Walking Cricket Festival organised by our friends from Nottinghamshire Cricket Board, watch this space!
Coaching in Schools
June has seen children at Marshlands, Watermill, Blackfriars, Coppice, Green Park, Penn Fields, Westcroft, Old Hall, Oakwood, Jane Lane and Two Rivers Special Schools benefitting from coaching in curriculum time, building up to school competitions at Newcastle & Hartshill CC, Bloxwich CC and Wolverhampton CC in July.
