Inspire Multi Sport Clubs And FA Holiday Programme

Inspire logo 2016

What is it all about?

The Inspire Multi Sport Club network wants to invite you into its family. It is a fun, safe and an enjoyable club that all of your family can be involved with. The club will give you and your family the opportunity to try a range of different sports in a relaxed and informal environment with qualified coaches.

As a club it is open to all disabled children (5-17), siblings and parents. As it encourages the whole family to come along, the club really does create this fun atmosphere where your family will be made to feel part of something unique. It allows the opportunity for parents to meet and greet with other parents, whilst the children can enjoy themselves with the choice of activities available. Click here to view the leaflet.

We have five clubs that are based across the county, running on a fortnightly basis locations are listed below.

  • Lichfield
  • East Staffordshire
  • Newcastle-under-Lyme
  • Stafford
  • Tamworth

What’s in it for me?

  • I will have FUN
  • I will be safe
  • I can make new friends
  • My family can join in
  • I can try new sports
  • I can relax

What happens when I arrive?

When you arrive you will be welcomed by one of the Inspire Club friendly staff. They will check with your parent or adult responsible for you that your registration has been completed and we will also require you to complete an medical form.

Each club operates slightly differently but the priority for all of them is to ensure you have FUN!

Inspire Multi Sport Clubs and Football/Cricket Holiday Activities

Sport Across Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent would like to give you a quick update about our Aiming High funded activities, that run at venues near you. We offer fortnightly multisport clubs across the county, the activities are for the whole family and include things such as badminton, football, swimming, kurling, trampolining to name but a few. During the school holidays, Staffordshire FA and Staffordshire Cricket work together to offer a fantastic 4 hour activity session that takes place in various locations.

We understand how unpredictable life can be and so our activities are very flexible in catering for and welcoming families who make a last minute decisions to attend. We do encourage you to use the central booking system, however if you were not able to book please still turn up to the activity and we will ask you to complete a registration form so we can understand your child’s needs.

We do not want you to be deterred from booking one of our sessions based on the uncertainty that you may have to cancel, we have a large number of spaces available and you are unlikely to be taking up another child’s space.  We do however, ask that you try and let us know that you can no longer attend.

If you have not yet accessed any of our Inspire activities we recommend that you give us a call on 01785 619 398 and speak to David, our Inclusion Engagement Officer, who can answer any specific questions on how the sessions operate etc.

We hope that this information helps you to better access our activities and we look forward to hopefully getting to meet you and your family at one of our activities soon.

Many Thanks

Naomi Bird & David Richards (Sport Across Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent)

What do others say?

“The Aiming High Multi-Sports Club in East Staffs has gone from strength to strength. The benefit to families is that we are fully inclusive, encouraging the whole family to take part. Some families have mentioned they felt isolated but this club has introduced them to families with similar circumstances and provided more information about other activities they can attend. The word is spreading and we get more and more families attending each session.”

George Fargher, Regular attendee of East Staffs Club.

“I have been coming to the club with my son…for about 5 years now. He looks forward to coming every other Saturday and we hope it continues for many years to come.

John Cahill, Regular attendee of the Tamworth Club.
